Keerit joined Maurice Law as an articling student in 2016 after completing his articles in Ontario, and was called to the Ontario and Alberta bars in 2017.
Keerit practices in the firm's Energy and Natural Resources groups. He advises a wide range of clients on duty to consult and regulatory issues for energy and natural resource projects. Keerit provides advice and solutions on all aspects of energy and natural resources law, including the development and negotiation of Impact Benefit Agreements. He also assists clients with ensuring project proponents adhere to consultation requirements.
Before joining Maurice Law, Keerit gained experience in energy and aboriginal legal issues, working with a major Canadian energy company. While completing his degrees, Keerit focused on natural resources and energy strategy, aboriginal law, oil and gas law, and corporate commercial law. During law school, he was the President and co-founder of the University of Alberta Energy Law Club, and was co-founder and VP External of the University of Alberta Oil Sands Student Delegation.
