Geneviève supports the firm’s First Nation clients in asserting their rights and legal claims against the Crown through litigation, negotiation, and strategic advisory services. Her practice focuses primarily on Specific Claims and appellate advocacy, with significant experience before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Prior to joining Maurice Law in 2022, Geneviève practiced for five years at a boutique Aboriginal law firm based in Ottawa. Geneviève brings a deep passion and commitment to social justice to her work at Maurice Law. Beyond her professional advocacy for Indigenous rights, she has nearly a decade of experience working with organizations that promote the rights of equality-seeking groups. She currently serves as Section Chair for the Canadian Bar Association – New Brunswick Aboriginal Law Section.
Raised in Montreal and northern New Brunswick, Geneviève is bilingual in English and French.
