Our 12th Annual Maurice Law Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the Dakota Dunes Golf Links in beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on June 15, 2018. Team registration is $800 for a foursome and individual registration is $200 per player. Registration deadline is June 8, 2018. Each year, proceeds from the Maurice Law Charity Golf Tournament are used to support organizations and programs that have shown a special commitment and interest in supporting Indigenous peoples. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will be donated to an outstanding and worthy organization, the Beardy’s Midget “AAA” Blackhawks (the “Beardy’s Blackhawks”).
The Beardy’s Blackhawks organization is a benchmark for hockey in Canada. As the first and only Midget AAA hockey program in Canada operated by a First Nation, the Blackhawks demonstrate that hockey players of all backgrounds and ethnicity can play together, grow together and achieve both team and individual success together. Moreover, this team provides youth with the opportunity to learn about a healthy, active lifestyle and achieve better health, enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence and community participation which can best translate into positive life choices that, in turn, will improve health in the short and long-term. We are proud to partner with this excellent organization. The proceeds from this year’s charity golf tournament will be donated to support the Beardy’s Blackhawks’ travel expenses, equipment and facility costs. We are striving to sell out the tournament at 144 golfers for a fun-filled day on the links.
