Maurice Law welcomes the 2021 first-year associates to the Calgary Office!

August 10, 2021

Maurice Law is proud to welcome two new associates to the firm.

Garrett Lafferty joined Maurice Law in 2019 as a second-year summer student. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in June 2020.  After a successful articling year, Garrett was called to the Alberta Bar in July of 2021. Given his undergraduate education in policy studies, economics, and political science, Garrett has a keen interest in furthering the interests of indigenous clients through administrative law matters, self-determination initiatives, and civil litigation.

Susannah Walton joined Maurice Law in 2020 as an articling student. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and her Masters of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Susannah was called to the Alberta Bar in July 2021 after the successful completion of her articles. Susannah is looking forward to continuing her work on the Agricultural Benefits Claims at the Specific Claims Tribunal. Additionally, she is excited to join Maurice Law as an associate and to expand her practice and legal knowledge in Aboriginal Law.

Welcome, Garrett and Susannah!
