Crystal has been advising Indigenous governments and organizations since 2002, with a focus on business development initiatives, corporate-commercial law, and governance. Over the course of her career, she has played a key role in structuring major joint ventures in the solar, wind, and hydro sectors across Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Her trusted expertise has also been sought by various levels of government for policy development and strategic advice—particularly in the areas of renewable energy and Indigenous consultation.
After gaining extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, Crystal joined Maurice Law in 2015. Her practice is centered on corporate and commercial law, with particular emphasis on Impact Benefit Agreements, consultation matters, First Nation governance, legislative development, and Indigenous economic development. She is highly regarded for her deep knowledge and years of experience in developing Consultation Protocols and negotiating Impact Benefit Agreements that deliver meaningful and lasting economic benefits for her clients.
In addition to her legal practice, Crystal contributes her time and expertise as a board member for several corporate and public organizations, where she provides strategic guidance informed by her legal and governance background.
