PAIGE THOMAS

Student-at-Law

Paige is an Articling Student at Maurice Law, where she is focusing her legal training on the firm’s core practice area: the advancement of Specific Claims on behalf of First Nations. She is passionate about building a strong foundation in litigation and advocacy, and is committed to supporting Indigenous communities in seeking justice through the Specific Claims process. Through her articling experience, Paige is developing the legal, historical, and procedural knowledge essential to advancing complex claims grounded in Crown obligations and historical wrongs.

During law school, Paige distinguished herself as an active and competitive mooter, participating in the BLG Trial Moot, the MacIntyre Cup (Western Canada Trial Moot), and the Adam F. Fanaki Competition Law Moot. She also honed her written advocacy skills as a contributor to the 2024 Vis Moot Memorandum of Fact and Law.

Paige is a member of the Metis Nations of Alberta.
