MAURICE LAW PARTNER BRAD REGEHR ELECTED AS VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE CANADIAN BAR ASSOCIATION

 

Maurice Law is proud to announce that partner Bradley Regehr has been elected to the position of Vice President-Elect of the Canadian Bar Association.

 

Brad’s term as Vice President will begin on September 1, 2019 and he will assume the office of President of the CBA on September 1, 2020. This is a historic moment for the CBA as Brad is the first person of Indigenous descent to become President in the organization’s 100-year history.  

 

Brad’s terms as Vice President and President are the culmination of his long-standing involvement and commitment to the legal community. Brad has been heavily involved in CBA work throughout his career and this is his second round on the CBA board. He previously served as President of the Manitoba Bar Association from 2015 to 2017 and was appointed to the CBA’s National Board of Directors in 2018. He is also the former Chair of the CBA’s National Aboriginal Law Section.

 

Brad brings over 20 years of practice experience to the position in various areas including aboriginal, corporate, civil litigation, and administrative law. As Vice President, Brad is committed to furthering the CBA’s work on Access to Justice, diversity and inclusion.
